Just what’s on pre-order this week? Allow us to show you…
Whether you’re looking to defend civilisation or smash it to bits, we’ve got you covered this week! The two latest battletomes for Warhammer Age of Sigmar have landed, taking a number of much-loved armies and forging them into powerful and coherent forces.
Battletome: Cities of Sigmar brings both the metropolises of the Mortal Realms and the humans, duardin and aelves who defend them to life as never seen before, giving a number of classic Order sub-factions a permanent home with a vast swath of new allegiance abilities to choose from.
Laid claim to your battletome of choice? You can raise your game even further with the matching accessories pack. Each of these factions has their own invaluable set quick-reference Warscroll Cards.
New Start Collecting! Sets
If you’re kicking off an Orruk Warclans army, it’s as easy as it’s ever been – just grab yourself Start Collecting! Ironjawz and you’re good to go. We wanted things to be as easy for Cities of Sigmar players, and so, we’re introducing two money-saving Start Collecting! boxes just for them.
All Your Rules In One Place
Looking to make more space for troops, monsters and tanks (steam-based or otherwise) in your bag? Good news – two new small-format rulebooks are available! Warhammer 40,000: The Rules takes the rules section from the epic Warhammer 40,000 book and provides it in a portable format, while the Warhammer Age of Sigmar Gaming Book offers all your favourite matched play content in one place. Neat!
Warriors (and dice!) of The Dead
Ever watched that bit in The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King where the Army of the Dead jump out of the boats and just straight-up ruin the orcs at the Battle of Pelennor Fields and said: “Wow, I wish I could do that”? Well, now you can, as the King of the Dead is available in glorious plastic! What’s more, he comes with two Heralds who are perfect for leading smaller warbands in your army.
Of course, spooky champions need spooky dice (that’s just science) – and do we have the set for you! The Army of the Dead Dice don’t just look great – they glow in the dark! They’re perfect for creating a mysterious ambience, or just retrieving them easily when they slip down the back of the sofa.*
Middle-earth Magical Powers and Profile Cards
Last up, we’ve got Profile Cards – a new resource that’ll make your battles in Middle-earth easier to manage than ever. These cards make checking your unit profiles and special rules in the heat of battle simple and are available in a number of faction-themed packs. Each also contains a handy Might, Will and Fate tracker – stick it in a plastic sleeve and grab a dry-erase marker, and you’ll find marking off wounds and heroic actions easy.
* As a point of principle, we wouldn’t recommend rolling your dice on the sofa.
